Program

This year we want to examine the origins and influences of norms and biases in social interactions. More specifically, we want to look at :

  •  What explains norms and biases at different levels (evolutionary, neurobiological , cognitive, cultural)
  •  What their consequences are, over a range of scales (from face-to-face interactions to large groups).
  •   Which normative expectations lead us to consider certain types of behaviour as biases, and whether this characterisation is useful or appropriate.

To do so, we have gathered experts from neurosciences, psychological and social sciences, as well as philosophy.

In addition, we will offer a number of specialized workshops that focus on methods and concepts in this area.
